Algarve Weather and Time

Algarve which is located in the southern part of Portugal, its weather is influenced by the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean and its proximity of the continent of Africa. This region experiences approximately three hundred days of sunshine. Its climate is mild and it is pleasant all year. This region most likely to have sunshine all year and has less rainfall, it only rains on the months of November and December. There are three hundred days of average sunshine and clear days in Algarve. Its temperature seldom drops during winter season or even go up when its summer. There are numerous beaches and golf courses in this region and with the weather that they have, it attracts tourists from all over the world.

The summer months in Algarve are July and August. The region has long and dry summer but the temperature rarely goes up above thirty degrees Celsius. The temperature for these months only ranges from twenty seven to twenty eight degrees Celsius. The spring and autumn season are also popular; these months are ideal for playing golf, its sea waters are a little bit cold to swim and nights can be a little bit cold also. May, June and September are the months which are also ideal for beaches; with warm days and evenings. On the months of November to February, the nights can be cold. This is the winter season in Algarve yet they still experience sunny days, approximately six hours of sunshine a day.

Algarve is located at the Greenwich Mean Time, ahead of an hour and is on the Western European Time. Daylight savings starts on the month of March, its is when they set the local time ahead for an hour and on the month of October they set the time backwards for an hour.
